地域福祉論において，ソーシャル・キャピタルに関する研究が多いとは言えない現状を鑑み，本稿ではソーシャル・キャピタルが地域福祉にとっての絶対条件といえる社会資源に成り得るのか検討を行った．
方法としては，２００９年と２０１０年にY 市E 地域を対象に実施した「高齢者ふれあい・いきいきサロン」（以下，サロン）の参加率に関する調査，対象者のソーシャル・キャピタルに関する調査，サロン開催にあたっての「困難度」に関する調査，の３調査の結果に関して，とおよびとについての相関性を求めるという手法により行った．
その結果，それぞれの間には極めて強い相関性が認められた．
E 地域にとって，およびの結果はサロンをめぐるニーズの現れとして捉えられることから，両者との結果との間にみられる相関性の強さは，ソーシャル・キャピタルがサロンにとっての「ニーズを充足させるために動員されるもの」（＝社会資源）として成り得ることを示唆するものと捉えられる．
Studies on community-based welfare that address social capital issues are scarce. This study examines whether social capital can be a vital social resource for communitybased welfare.
For this purpose, I looked at the following three surveys conducted in Y city E regio in Japan in 2009 and 2010:（1）Survey on the attendance rate at “Senior Citizen’s Fureai-Ikiiki Salon（hereafter the Salon）” events,（2）Survey on senior citizens’ social capital, and（3）Survey on the level of difficulty in holding a Salon event. The correlations between（1）and（2）and between（2）and（3）were examined. |
