It is a well-known fact, that most of all exhibitions such as world exhibitions played important roles in modern cultural exchange between East and West. I am at present doing research work on how Japanese fine arts has been appreciated by West. I study on that issue through Japan-British exhibition London 1910, comparing with Japanese old fine arts exhibition in Berlin 1939. In addition to that, I would like to show cleary that Japan-British exhibition London 1910 has influenced Japanese old fine arts exhibition in Berlin 1939 in point of the evaluation of Japanese fine arts. |
