This paper is the summary of a result of investigation in Nagasaki area, one of 3, that the entrance examination of public high schools had been enforced in Nagasaki Prefecture shifted from "Sogo Senbatsu" system to "Tandoku Senbatsu" system. A focus in this paper is especially exposed to the influence on the examinee. Though the swichover to the new system was generally recieved favorably, It didn't have the influence which brought the transmutation of "life style" and "examination form". Moreover, the content of "curriculum" and the entrance examination which the difference is made out of for allocating marks between five subjects didn't become volunteer reasons for the examinee. Rather the reason of "school character" had an important meaning for the high school selection. I recognize there is an index which this reason shows the degree of populality by the new system and the gap between former Nagasaki-Five-Schools. However, I guess the ranking and its speed is comparatively slow by another factor.
